We are looking for energetic, entrepreneurial, highly driven employee-owners to support our dynamic Mid-Atlantic team (Chesapeake, Richmond, Arlington) in supporting our Mid-Atlantic water and wastewater municipal and federal clients. Take ownership of your career and join our growing team as we assist our clients in facing the many challenges ahead. This position is focused on supporting our Capital Program Assistance regional leadership. This team supports our clients by implementing practices to support the planning, monitoring and execution of their projects and overall business initiatives. Activities may include capital improvement project planning, asset management, condition assessments, data management and visualization, rate setting support, utility benchmarking, project delivery assistance and grant funding support.

Job Duties

Support project managers in executing a wide range of utility management related services for municipal and federal water and wastewater clients.

Manage a variety of databases on behalf of clients.

Develop dashboards for data visualization.

Develop grant applications for federal funding opportunities.

Prepare and/or review condition assessment reports to support the development of repair and/or replacement schedules.

Coordinate the development of third-party construction cost estimates.

Draft and compile reports and presentations for clients and industry organizations/publications.

Apply knowledge to complex projects, find/develop non-standard approaches to solutions.

Responsible for applying the QA/QC process.

Responsible for effective communication with other engineering team members.

Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program (water or civil curriculum focus preferred).

OR Bachelor of Science in Civil or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.

Minimum three (3) years; (five (5) years preferred) of civil engineering experience, including the design of water/wastewater systems with asset management/condition assessment experience preferred.

Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering may be substituted for 1-year experience.

Successful completion (i.e. passing) FE or EIT required.

Professional Engineer license preferred.

Strong, proven experience with Microsoft Office programs with database management and PowerBI experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge in public utility project delivery process is a plus.

Strong computer skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Strong commitment to working in a team environment.

Demonstrated critical thinking skills, and ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.

Strong attention to detail and quality control procedures.

Valid driver's license is required. In addition, it must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.

Ability to travel.
