Burns & McDonnell International Travel Coordinator - Corporate Travel (Multiple Locations) in Atlanta, Georgia
Description
The International Travel Coordinator is the primary point of contact for Burns & McDonnell International business travelers and provides active travel consultation.
Assist travelers with complex international travel reservations within the company's travel booking software.
Ensure travel bookings are complete/accurate/timely and
company travel policies are met.
Coordinate and create itineraries for travelers including all reservation and confirmation information.
Handle last-minute travel plan changes and resolves travel problems for travelers.
Communicate courteously and professionally by phone and in person using good communication skills.
Follow-up on complaints from travelers, resolving most complaints, alerting supervisor as needed.
Explain and maintain policy to travelers asking for travel
arrangements outside policy. Continuously communicate
policies and procedures to travelers.
Coordinate refund and void paperwork preparations
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred or applicable experience.
Minimum 2 years experience in travel industry (5 years of experience in travel industry preferred).
Experience in various reservation software required.
Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
Self-starter, proficient in time management to handle deadline pressure and multiple assignments simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Highly organized with high-level attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written at all levels.
