Description

1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking an experienced IBM Maximo Implementation Consultant to join the Enterprise Systems Business Line within the Technology Consulting Practice of 1898 & Co. We seek a qualified Maximo practitioner to provide application/technology implementation and services to our clients. The selected candidate will join the Global Enterprise Systems Business Line, which focuses on providing our clients a variety of consulting services, offerings, capabilities, and strategies delivering high value to our clients through a variety of leading technologies and practice disciplines. The Maximo Implementation Consultant shall possess strong functional and technical knowledge of the IBM Maximo EAM or APM solution. The candidate must have strong project execution capabilities, strong leadership and collaboration capabilities, excellent communication skills, focus on continuous improvement and enterprise innovation, and have a strong attention to detail while delivering high-quality work to our clients.

The Maximo Implementation Consultant will be primarily responsible for managing software implementation for clients throughout project lifecycle. This position will work closely with both clients and internal teams to manage adherence standards and develop documentation to support project goals and ultimately make each implementation a success. The Maximo Implementation Consultant will manage software implementation initiatives between internal teams, client teams, and leadership to ensure client requirements are met.

Manage colleagues and managers to implement and proactively manage a superior technology solution for our clients.

Manage clients' business processes and configure applications based on business needs and accepted best practices.

Manage implementation support to clients by leading customers through the implementation process, communicating with those involved to ensure that implementation is completed and any issues are resolved so client can be successfully utilizing the product. 

Train users in system set up, administration and maintenance.

Manage client satisfaction and successful go-live of technology solution.

Manage and report solution gaps working closely with senior technical resources to provide impact to future features and functionality of our solutions.

Manage quality check and analyze data conversions.

Evaluate implementation and training procedures and make improvements to facilitate the best possible customer experience. 

Manage ongoing training to clients on an as needed basis both remotely and in-person. 

Manage user documentation when required.

Manage training summaries specific to the client following the training to assist other staff in providing quality customer care.

Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.

Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors and develop new business opportunities. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met.

Participate sales and marketing efforts and identify key pursuits.

Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance.

Prepare and present project budgets and cost estimates. Report project performance.

Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to the process engineering practice. Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.

Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.

Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines.

Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or MIS or related field from accredited program is required.  Applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

Minimum 14 years of experience.

Expert knowledge in standard implementation techniques and procedures. 

Expert computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).

Expert computer skills in implementation software and technologies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with leading the design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.

Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.

Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration.
