Burns & McDonnell Assistant Right of Way Specialist - Environmental Studies (Denver) in Denver, Colorado
The Assistant Right of Way Specialist will assist in the facilitation of land acquisitions, negotiations, property research, and title and survey review. This includes permitting support, assisting with construction coordination, and restoration on Right of Way projects in a variety of locations.
Assist in analyzing, preparing, reviewing, and intepreting Land and Right of Way related agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses.
Assist in research and collection of real property related documents.
Support translation of data from Right of Way documents into the stakeholder management database.
Assist in quality assurance reviews of stakeholder management database entries from Right of Way field agents.
Assist with compiling technical data to be presented to Right of Way project team..
Assist with preparation of permit applications for the project team.
Assist in preparation of project status, technical, and acquisition reports for the project team.
Provide support to Right of Way managers on document preparation and control, meeting agendas and other various project related activities.
Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Experience with linear utilties acquisition preferred, i.e. electric transmisison lines, water lines, and pipelines.
Prior internship or experience related to Right of Way preferred.
Basic knowledge of general real estate law preferred.
Basic understanding of real estate title work preferred.
Ability to work as an effective team member.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Excellent ability to work independently.
Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Valid driver's license required. In addition, must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
$23.00 - 29.00
The expected hourly range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of an hourly pay rate and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
