Description
Summary:
Responsibilities include operating various power driven construction equipment such as, but not limited to, cherry- picker, crane, hoists, derricks, shovels, tractors, backhoe, bulldozer, scrappers or motor graders, dragline, front-end loader which are used to excavate, move and grade search, erect structural and reinforcing steel.

Acceptable reasoning ability usually associated with this classification:
- The ability to apply principles of rational system to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, and diagrammatic or schedule form.
Acceptable math ability usually associated with this classification:
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole nwnbers, fractions, decimals, and metrics; to calculate surfaces, volume, weights, and measures. Use formulas as found in Industry Approved Trade handbooks.
Acceptable language ability usually associated with this classification:
- The ability to read and comprehend safety signs and instructions in English; read and understand instructions in English in the correct use and care of tools and equipment; read and understand "Warning Labels" in English that are placed on various containers; also, read procedures in English in mechanical drawing and layout work. The ability to write reports in English with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar.

Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked
Read engineering drawings

Read hand signs provided by workers while moving, turning, swinging, lowering and raising materialswith equipment
