Burns & McDonnell Staff Marketing Coordinator - Marketing (Houston) in Houston, Texas


The Staff Marketing Coordinator contributes to marketing initiatives for business units by overseeing the coordination, development, and completion of marketing deliverables for each project. This position will provide client service support to ensure that all marketing objectives are executed timely and accurately. The Staff Marketing Coordinator will interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing, deadline-driven environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Performs a lead role in managing complex and mega proposals, including leading proposal support staff teams.

  • Works directly with senior-level technical staff to manage proposal deliverables, including writing, editing, verifying, and formatting proposal information.

  • Ensures that the various aspects of the proposals and marketing materials are accurate, timely, and well written.

  • Oversees business intelligence information on clients and competitors to support project pursuits.

  • Evaluates and present information and materials for submittals, presentations, and proposals.

  • Oversees implementation of brand guidelines into all projects.

  • Manages client approvals on all phases of a project.

  • Compiles and presents client status reports and marketing calendars.

  • Oversees tracking expectations on timing and budget and notifies supervisor of relevant fluctuations.

  • Prepares and presents in marketing training sessions to improve marketing, communications, digital, and content marketing knowledge.

  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related degree is required.

  • Minimum of six years of experience

  • Expert in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

  • Expert in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop experience highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, technical writing and creative writing as well as proofreading and editing.

  • High level of attention to detail.
