Burns & McDonnell Human Resources Coordinator – Global Subsidiaries / Global Mobility / Immigration(Kansas City, MO) in Kansas City, Missouri

Description

The Human Resources Coordinator will provide a customer service-based approach to the administration and coordination of various human resources activities for the global subsidiaries team in a high-volume human resources environment. The Global Subsidiaries team is responsible for providing human resources services to our domestic and international subsidiaries as well as managing the company’s global mobility program (domestic/international relocation, domestic/international immigration, domestic/international assignments).

  • Support various human resources projects for Burns & McDonnell subsidiary companies both domestic and international

  • Maintain relationships with Burns & McDonnell subsidiary company leadership and employees

  • Maintain communication between human resources, managers and employees to facilitate the success of mobility goals

  • Administer the domestic field assignment system and answer basic questions regarding employee mobility assignments from managers, project managers, and employees

  • Maintain mobility & domestic assignment intranet pages

  • Assist with preparation & tracking of various inbound/outbound immigration documents

  • Monitor & reverify I-9’s for existing employees

  • Schedule and facilitate immigration meetings with attorneys, candidates, and existing employees

  • Assist with various tasks related to international assignments

  • Review immigration correspondence and file appropriately

  • Assist with monitoring international travel for potential immigration requirements

  • Answer basic questions related to employee relocation

  • Responsible for auditing and processing confidential data

  • Prepare supporting documentation for international travelers

  • Provide visa processing assistance to Burns & McDonnell employees traveling to the U.S. and other countries

  • Assist with training on mobility topics and maintain online training resources

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; an emphasis in Human Resources Management or International Business is preferred

  • Previous human resources internship experience preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical/problem-solving skill.

  • Must have the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and external vendors

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

  • Ability to multi-task and handle interruptions of workstream within a fast-paced environment

  • Must be professional, self-starter and willing to be flexible

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
