The Marketing Technology Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing marketing technology (MarTech) tools and platforms, as well as driving the strategic direction of MarTech initiatives. The role involves overseeing the implementation, integration, and optimization of MarTech systems to create exceptional digital experiences and increase collective ROI.

In this role, you will be part of a fast-paced, highly collaborative, intrapreneurial, and high-achieving team that is excited to deliver digital marketing growth for our clients. As an integral member of the digital marketing team, you will stay informed about the industry, market trends, and competitive landscape. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strategic, and hungry for the opportunity to join a growing team to help build best-in-class digital marketing offerings. This role will report directly to the Director of Sales Enablement & Digital Strategy and will work closely key leaders within the Marketing, Sales and IT teams. This position sits onsite at our World Headquarters office in Kansas City, MO.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the implementation of MarTech tools and platforms: The marketing technology manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of MarTech tools and platforms, ensuring that they are integrated with existing systems and aligned with the overall marketing strategy. A clear understanding of DNS, SPF and digital compliance is necessary.

  • Maintaining and optimizing MarTech systems: The marketing technology manager must ensure that all MarTech systems are functioning correctly and that data is being collected and analyzed effectively. They must also optimize the use of MarTech tools to improve marketing campaigns and increase ROI.

  • Analyzing and interpreting data: The marketing technology manager must be able to analyze and interpret data from various sources, including web analytics, customer data, and social media metrics, to gain insights into customer behavior and preferences. A clear understanding of first party and third-party data strategies and a cookie-less future in the industry is necessary.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: The marketing technology manager must work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Sales, HR and IT, to ensure that MarTech systems are integrated and aligned with overall business goals.

  • Driving the strategic direction of MarTech initiatives: The marketing technology manager must develop and execute a comprehensive MarTech strategy that aligns with the overall business strategy. This includes identifying the most effective MarTech tools for the business and determining how to optimize them for maximum ROI.

  • Staying up-to-date on MarTech trends: The marketing technology manager must stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in MarTech and recommend new tools and platforms as needed.

  • Managing budgets: The marketing technology manager must manage budgets for MarTech tools and platforms and ensure that spending is optimized and aligned with overall business goals.

  • Managing MarTech vendors: The marketing technology manager must manage relationships with MarTech vendors and negotiate contracts and service level agreements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Min 5 years of experience; 7 or more years of hands-on B2B marketing experience preferred.

  • 5 years of hands-on experience working within marketing automation tool solution. HubSpot experience is preferred. Marketo, Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, etc. is a plus.

  • 5 years of experience with audience segmentation and best practices including data security compliance (CAN-SPAM, California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).

  • Must be experienced working closely with or within agency.

  • Experience working with CRM, DAM, data management and/or CDP and its application to marketing automation.

  • Aptitude and interest in process management to create execution efficiencies and functional specifications.
