Description
Burns & McDonnell’s Information Technology Department is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide Application/Technology architecture services and will play an integral role in building the EA practice for Burns & McDonnell. The enterprise architect (EA) will be responsible for building a holistic view and roadmap of the company’s technology strategy, processes, and information technology roadmap. The Enterprise Architect partners with both business and technology groups to ensure that the proposed technical solutions not only align with the company’s overall objectives, but also ensures that both groups enable and drive each other to meet the needs of the company’s mission and vision.
Builds the long-term strategic roadmap for all IT systems architecture
Aligns IT strategy and planning with the company’s business goals and objectives
Seamlessly integrates business and service strategy into enterprise architecture roadmap
Partners with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions
Leads the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projects
Partners with other solution architects to provide a consensus based scalable and adaptable architectural solution
Develops and maintains policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the company
Promotes the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flows
Manages and facilitates a review board to evaluate project proposals for architectural fit
Circulates roadmaps to align IT priorities with business partner needs
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field is preferred; Additional work experience may be substituted for degree.
Minimum 10 years of experience providing Enterprise Architecture Strategies, Enterprise Integration solutions and services leveraging various applications and technical platforms.
Excellent Enterprise Architecture and Integration skills, including data architecture, cloud architecture, middleware and other architectural methods and practices.
Have lead or participated in a minimum of 5 large scale Enterprise Transformation projects using industry Enterprise Architecture strategy solutions and middleware technologies.
Strong ability to influence or lead Enterprise Integration project execution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Extensive experience with Application Data Analysis and transformation at various layers of the architecture and possess the ability to present data transformation during various stages of the architecture.
Experiencing with leading edge application, middleware technology and solutions utilizing data strategies.
Experiencing with a variety of project execution methodologies including but not limed to Waterfall and Agile.
Experience developing Enterprise Architecture strategies focusing on data, application, and technologies for clients in the Utilities Industry.
