Burns & McDonnell is looking for a driven individual to join its Financial Reporting team! The accounting organization is at the forefront of changes within the company, whether through acquisitions, new entities (domestic or international), or new business models. Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for overseeing month-end process and review of financial statements for domestic and international locations

  • Analyze financials and key performance indicators of the Company, divisions and locations to provide meaningful insight to leadership

  • Preparing month-end reporting for Global Practices, Regional and International Locations

  • Providing detailed financial information and analysis to Global Practices, Regional and International Location management

  • Training department and executive management on financial forecast process

  • Prepares and/or reviews reconciliations between the various subledgers (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, etc.)

  • Prepares and/or reviews journal entries, account reconciliations, overhead analysis and A/P corrections

  • Prepares and assists with deliverables relating to year-end financial statement audit as well as overseeing statutory filings and annual financial audits for international subsidiaries

  • Preparing other reports for management as assigned

  • Maintain financial reporting utilizing data models

  • Lead and/or assist with yearly department initiatives that focus on innovation and process improvement

  • Assist in mentoring and developing staff accountants

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum eight (8) years of applicable experience; additional credit may be given for public accounting experience.

  • CPA preferred but not required

  • Strong financial reporting background

  • Superior computer skills with particular expertise in Excel

  • Must be a self-motivator, detailed, well organized and have strong issue-resolution skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with Oracle, PowerBi and data models preferred but not required

  • Percent complete accounting experience preferred but not required
