Responsibilities:
Will lead and coordinate stormwater analysis and design work associated with the study and/or design of civil/site and linear infrastructure systems. This could include municipal roads, trails, highway or interstate systems, rail, and building developments.
Coordination of activities of several disciplines may be required for projects of significant or moderate scope, or a combination of smaller projects.
Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members.
Assists with supervision of staff and task management on major projects.
Regularly coordinates with design team members, clients, subconsultants, utility companies or other project stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned.
Work with a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians.
Performs tasks requiring applications of standard civil engineering techniques and procedures.
Standard design of civil project work.
Assist task leaders and project managers with various project duties.
Serve as a team member on multi-disciplined projects.
Works with senior staff on technical aspects of a project.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum.
Minimum three (3) years related experience in the design and construction of stormwater systems.
Candidate must have technical skillsets in the following areas: hydrology, hydraulics, systems modeling, design and analysis of enclosed stormwater systems, culvert design and analysis, detention basin design and analysis, stormwater control measure design.
Candidate must have experience in the preparation of contract documents and the production of plans and specifications.
Familiarity with Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, GIS (Geographic Information System), Civil 3D, the Bentley suite of hydraulics and hydrology software, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS a plus.
This position requires a self-driven individual with a background in site design, drainage, stormwater, and the willingness to take on new challenges.
This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to a broad area of assignments.
Candidate must be capable of devising innovative approaches to solve complex problems.
Professional engineer license or the ability to obtain within the first six (6) months is required.
