Burns & McDonnell Six Sigma Project Manager - Manufacturing in Phoenix, Arizona

Description

  • Directs and coordinates activities of several disciplines on a project of moderate scope or a combination of smaller projects.

  • Direct coordination with clients and other external clients.

  • May initiate or assist in contract negotiations or preparation.

  • Assist in direction of project planning, budgeting and establishing critical project objectives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business or related field from an accredited curriculum.

  • Minimum 7-10 years of Lean Six Sigma or industrial engineering experience.

  • Experience must include time as a full-time black belt (BB) and/or Master Black Belt/ Lean Sensei with hands-on lean expertise.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean Certification is required.

  • Knowledge of 3P is a plus.

  • Must have led at least five (5) projects at the BB level.

  • Coaching and mentoring of Green Belts (GB's), BB's and potential MBB's for a large corporation/client in industry is strongly preferred.

  • Participation in Enterprise-level deployment of Lean/Six Sigma is also preferred.

  • Successful candidate should have technical mastery of Six Sigma tools and methodologies including DMAIC, DFSS and Lean.

  • Demonstrated analytical ability and practical experience with applying statistical methods.

  • Strong leadership skills, able to facilitate cross-functional teams and have an in-depth knowledge of change management and business process improvement.

  • Familiarization with total preventive/productive maintenance (TPM) and automation is preferred.

  • Proficient with all Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project software.

  • Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government and public contracts on project-related matters.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
