Burns & McDonnell Receptionist - Global Facilities (San Francisco) in San Francisco, California
The Receptionist is the front line person welcoming guests and employee-owners to Burns & McDonnell who visit our offices. This position will greet guests and employee-owners in a friendly, professional and helpful manner, making a good first impression of Burns & McDonnell. The Receptionist handles answering and directing incoming calls, ensuring security processes and procedures and receiving the public.
Welcome all guests, clients, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
Responsible for directing calls to the proper party within the organization.
Direct vendors, clients, and applicants to proper individual within a timely manner.
Responsible for proactive notification of guest arrival to ensure timely meetings.
Maintain log and manage daily visitor badges and follow all security and safety processes and procedures.
Responsible for identifying and communicating any potential risks, threats or concerns according to Corporate Security proceedures.
Receive and sign for office mail and packages and contact the employee-owner for pickup.
Facilite mail and package delivieries and pickups with the Mail Room.
Perform general administrative duties for the Corporate Security department.
All other duties as assigned
High School degree or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred.
Minimum two years office or receptionist experience.
Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft software such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with clients, applicants, vendors and co-workers via phone, email, instant messaging, and in-person.
