Burns & McDonnell Proposal Strategist - International - Transmission & Distribution (Toronto, Canada) in Toronto, Ontario
The Proposal Strategist will support pursuits in international markets and provide marketing support to meet in-country business development needs. This individual is responsible for developing the proposal plan; the Request for Proposal (RFP) release and the process including end game, and checkmate for assigned business development proposals to win work in international markets. This position will conduct proposal development efforts in collaboration with business development and project management leadership to develop distinctive value propositions that enhance our clients' competitive positions.
Liaise and collaborate with in-country teams and U.S. teams to meet marketing business development needs.
Follow the pursuit process according to company standards including scheduled reviews of pursuit submissions.
Develop proposal plan, draft storyboards, development of proposal and win strategy, proposal team assignments, and initial proposal management plan.
Perform pink team review and adjust marketing materials in response to reviews and requests.
Conduct review of the go/no-go decision, official proposal kickoff meeting, and the development of graphics and visuals.
Perform post-submittal activities including, interviews in the checkmate phase.
Assist with the closing of the project deliverables.
Provide support in the development of international content and collateral
Assist in preparation and coordination of international conferences and company events
Facilitate the completion of internal company initiatives for international teams.
Attend professional associations, conferences and build professional network as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, business administration, or related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Minimum 4 years experience as an A/E professional, in marketing, business development, or sales with a professional services firm.
APMP certification, or equivalent, preferred.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite strongly preferred.
