Description
Burns & McDonnell has an opening for a solid waste professional for our Austin, TX, office who will work in a team atmosphere by managing projects, performing detailed technical, financial and operational analyses and working in project execution. Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
Analysis of financial and non-financial data.
Preparation and analysis of financial projections and forecasts.
Preparation of cost of service and rate analysis.
Development of solid waste and recycling plans and studies.
Research and compilation of project data.
Development of project reports, analytical work papers, and project presentations.
Preparation of project proposals and other business development efforts.
Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Government, Community and Regional Planning, or other related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 4 years of related experience (8 years of experience preferred).
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Experience in the solid waste and recycling profession
High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Access preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
